I have felt a fallen snowflake
as it landed in my palm
watched it melt away to water
disappear so quiet and calm

I have tasted every teardrop
that has slipped down my cheek
tasted its every sadness
enough to make me weep

I have felt a ray of sunshine
hit the warmth of my bare skin
felt my body start to glow
and warm my heart within

I have run amongst the rain
as it poured onto my back
soak me through like a waterfall
and still smiled no turning back

I have seen a newborns smile
watched their eyes so wide and blue
smelt the skin of that angel
held so close love flown through

But I cannot shake the feeling
that stays with me everyday
of the longing that I need
and it so distant far away...

I could take on every new day
And see beauty shine through
But I cannot last that day
without loving you ....
